The fast-paced seven-a-side format includes a two-day group-stage round-robin, featuring two groups of four teams. On day three of the tournament, the top two clubs per group will advance to the knockout stage. There will be sixteen matches per tournament, including a third-place match, and of course, a much-anticipated championship match.
Each club will play between three and five games in total, depending on the progress of that club through the tournament.

Established professional clubs from the best leagues across the globe have committed to participating in W7F’s seven-a-side tournaments. From that club pool, teams will be chosen to compete.

The first tournament will feature eight sides from the club pool. As the series grows, we expect to expand the number of teams competing in each event.

Each game will last 30 minutes, divided into two halves of 15 minutes each, with extra time for a tie-break. There will be a 5-minute halftime.

Our first tournament will take place at Estádio António Coimbra da Mota in Estoril, Portugal 21-23 May 2025.
Future tournaments are being finalized and we expect the next tournament to take place outside of Europe before the end of 2025.

Seating is general admission, first-come, first-served. Be sure to follow the match schedules and arrive early to see your favorite team up close during these sessions.

Tickets will be provided to you via email after your purchase, along with your order confirmation email. Tickets will be scanned at the gates for fast entry. World Sevens Football does not refund tickets, except in situations where the event is cancelled.

Typically, printing tickets is not required. Presenting the ticket digitally as an e-ticket on your smartphone, is considered sufficient. To ensure smooth entry process, it is essential that the ticket is legible, and the QR code is displayed prominently. A screenshot of the ticket is generally inadequate for admission.

Children under 3 years of age are not allowed to enter. Due to Portuguese legislation (namely Decree-Law no. 23/2014, of 14 February 2014), which World Sevens Football must comply with, entry for children aged 3 and over (inclusive) must always be carried out with a ticket purchased at the ticket office, i.e., they must be in possession of a valid ticket. Children under 12 years of age will only be allowed to enter if they are accompanied by adults.
